I live in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with my wife and daughter. I was introduced to hunting and the outdoors by my grandpa and dad and have been hooked ever since. I have hunted for the past sixteen years and started when I was twelve.
I started out hunting with a shotgun and rifle then a couple of years later I got into archery and within the last eight years I started hunting with flintlock and inline muzzleloaders.
When I was a teenager I attended 4-H archery for a few years. The most challenging and fun of all the weapons I hunt with is archery equipment. I think whether you come back from the field with an animal or not, or if you just shoot for fun, the important thing to remember is to just have fun experiencing the outdoors and what nature has to offer.
The deer in the picture with myself was taken the first Saturday of rifle in 2009 in Halifax Pa, it has a gross score of 163 2/8 and a final score of 157 2/8.
I hope to be able to help anybody with an interest in archery whether it's with a vertical or horizontal bow, to share in the fun, and enjoy archery in the great outdoors of Pennsylvania.
