The Pennsylvania Crossbow Federation is a non-profit organization founded in August of 2008. Since its formation, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has made regulatory changes that include the crossbow with other previously allowed archery equipment statewide.
Mission The Pennsylvania Crossbow Federation's mission is to unite and represent a proactive fraternity of dedicated individuals who (1) support the use of crossbows and all forms of archery equipment for managing game species. (2) promote ethical and safe hunting practices and (3) work to involve new participants in the great sport of hunting
Objectives It is the Pennsylvania Crossbow Federation's prime objective to educate game managers, hunters and the public about the crossbow and archery's positive attributes as applied to modern hunting and effective game management.
To ensure that the modern crossbow remains a legal weapon for all hunters statewide that desire to participate in Pennsylvania's archery seasons.
The Pennsylvania Crossbow Federation believes archery is a short range sport and will work to preserve that tradition in the future.
Through outreach and education, expand the ranks of sportsman in this state with a strong emphasis on recruitment of our youth and retention of our aging hunter population.
To actively support all programs and initiatives that benefit game and non-game species in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the recreational enjoyment of all of its residents.
The Pennsylvania Crossbow Federation will work with all clubs, organizations and hunters to promote archery hunting and defend against threats to our sport.
About Us The Pennsylvania Crossbow Federation ask our members to be courteous towards other hunters, organizations and the non-hunting public. Our members should be respectful of landowner relations and be stewards for all of the natural resources of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We welcome all members with similar values into our organization. We do not discriminate based on a hunter's choice of equipment. |
